Belwest named September Club Changer of the Month by Capital Football

Belwest Foxes Soccer Club has been named Capital Football's September Club Changer of the Month in the Governance (Committee and Leadership) category. The award recognises the club's work on strong governance, effective leadership and building a sustainable future for our football community.

Capital Football's write-up highlights a number of things the club has been working on:

Updating our constitution so club governance lines up better with the football season
Bringing in Spond so registrations, teams, events, fundraising and club news are easier to follow, with two-way communication between the committee and members
Running campaigns that encourage respectful behaviour towards referees and match officials
Growing participation for women and girls through player, coach and referee development pathways, backed by training, mentoring and support
Working with the ACT Government on upgrades at our Latham home ground, including accessible amenities, shaded areas and free drinking water
Keeping football affordable and supporting refugee participation and the Every Chance to Play program

This recognition belongs to everyone who gives their time to the club. Thank you to our committee, our volunteers, and all of the coaches, players, families and members who make Belwest what it is, on and off the field.
