Referees

Referees

Match officials are a vital part of football, and Belwest Foxes is proud to support referee development within our club.

Reduce Abuse — RESPECT Campaign

Capital Football has launched a RESPECT campaign to 'Reduce Abuse' across football. Everyone has the right to feel safe and participate in football without being abused. All interactions with players, officials, coaches, volunteers and Capital Football staff need to be respectful.

Abuse and disrespectful behaviour has no place in our game.

Become a Referee

Refereeing is a great way to stay involved in football and give back to the community. Benefits include:

  • Match payments for officiating games
  • Fitness and skill development
  • Pathway to higher-level refereeing
  • Being part of the football community

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 13 years
  • Complete a Capital Football referee course
  • Current first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Play by the Rules

'Let Kids be Kids' is a national campaign that addresses poor sideline behaviour — largely at junior sport. The behaviour of people on the sidelines of junior sport can have a profound impact on kids' participation and enjoyment of sport.
